Not only does it fit as comfortably as bespoke tailored suiting, the cloth on the backrest and seat have been painstakingly applied to ensure there are no gaps, divides, or creases. It is a work of engineered office comfort 70 years in the making with every bit of the craftsmanship and design the house of Okamura has to offer. Every bit of technology at our disposal has gone into the design and comfort of Plimode. Our advanced resin molding techniques have produced armrests with a modern, streamlined curve. The reclining mechanism has been simplified into a clean, modern, minimalist design. Under the seat, you'll find a compact control cluster. Technology and ingenuity woven together in unprecedented quality.

Design

This streamlined, light design was inspired by the air. From the top of the back rest to bottom of the seat, the line flows uninterrupted in a single sweeping silhouette. Arm rests form a supple, flowing curve. The recline mechanism has been simplified into a clean, modern, minimalist package. It's a design of pure beauty that's as pleasing visually as it is physically.

Features

Flat and simple backrest

By keeping the back as flat as possible, without adding complex three-dimensional shapes, we've made it possible to use a variety of fabrics. Just like a well-tailored suit, please choose your preferred fabric.

Inner mesh structure

The internal structure consists of a frame and mesh material, which is then covered with fabric. This creates a soft, comfortable seating experience similar to that of a mesh chair.

Commitment to Sustainability

We have added a new circular model to our product lineup that uses "REAMIDE," recycled nylon made from recycled used fishing nets in Japan, for some of its resin components. Okamura is committed to addressing the problem of marine plastic pollution and contributing to environmental issues by doing what we can to protect living creatures and the planet.

Twill fabric made from recycled waste fabric.

The fabric will be transformed into a 100% recycled material fabric using RENUR (recycled yarn made from fabric scraps generated during product manufacturing and recycled clothing) and recycled PET yarn.

A lighter, more stylish design with a mesh back.

You can choose between an interlock type with a three-dimensional feel and texture, and a plain type in a single color.

Functions

Ankle Tilt® Reclining

The Ankle Tilt® recliner slides synchronously around the ankle, with the backrest and seat moving in sync. It supports a natural posture without compressing the thighs or other areas when reclined. (Reclining angle: 15°)

Seat height adjustment

The seat height can be adjusted by operating the lever on the lower right of the seat. *1: Vertical stroke/5-legged chair: 100 mm, high chair: 150 mm *2: Excludes 4-legged auto-return chair.

All control levers are located on the lower right of the seat. Various operations can be performed while maintaining a natural seated posture. 1. Smart Slide Operation Lever: With a simple slide of the lever, you can switch between two levels of reclining resistance ("strong" and "weak") and backrest locking. 2. Seat Height Adjustment Lever: The seat height can be adjusted. *Excludes 4-legged auto-return models.

Adjustable height of the adjustablearm

The height of the adjustable arm can be adjusted by pressing the button on the back of the elbow pad. (Stroke: 80 mm)

Handle

We've added handles to the chair to make it easier to pull out. You can pull it out without soiling the tablecloth.

Different hardness cushions

The cushion features three types of urethane with varying hardness levels, molded together in one piece. The front uses a soft cushion that doesn't compress the thighs, while the back uses a firmer cushion that firmly supports the buttocks.
